El Monterey

Below are a few pics of our building. We live on the second floor:



We moved to our new place on Saturday. It took many truckloads and carloads as well as some much appreciated help from family and Scot. Tip for moving, rent a U-Haul. It is well worth it.

Brian personally spent 17 hours moving (although we did take an hour break to eat pizza at Northlake Tavern)! Eek.

The last couple of car loads were really tough because that is where all the random stuff is moved. Also, no matter how organized you are at the beginning – things get pretty chaotic near the end. Emptying boxes to make room for more stuff, etc.

Sunday we woke up extremely sore. Most of the day was spent sleeping and eating breakfast at Portage Bay Café (we now live a block away). We were pretty much useless the rest of the day. We managed to do some much needed laundry and organize the living room.

Getting ready for work this morning was a little odd. It took Brian forever to find the box where he packed his shoes and another box where he packed his belts. Also taking a new bus is always a learning experience.

We hope to be all settled soon.
